OUR ALYS VACATION
TAKE ME BACK! My head is home but my heart keeps calling me back. We found this little slice of heaven 2 summers ago when we ventured down to Flordia to live for the summer. Not knowing much about the area I did the best I could to find a family friendly location and I’d say we found just that.
One of the most asked questions while we were on vacation was WHERE ARE YOU?? and Is it family friendly??
As a mom, finding the perfect vacation destination that caters to both adult relaxation and family-friendly also lets be honest you know I want it to be aesthetically pleasing, can be a challenge. A few summers ago in between house closings we found our way down to 30A to spend the summer. Lets just say ever since then Kev has had whispers in his ear often asking when were going back. I’m letting y’all in on our hidden gem. Alys Beach is unlike non other it offers a unique blend of tranquility, luxury, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it an ideal destination for families.. Im going to share our firsthand experience of staying IN Alys Beach (the times prior we rented a house on 30A) and why it has become our go-to destination for family getaways. The caveat you have to rent IN Alys to get several of these amenities. But staying anywhere in 30A is stunning!
The beautiful beaches of Alys Beach are just the beginning. The soft sand and crystal-clear waters makes you feel like you’re in the Caribbean. No hotels = not over crowded beaches. And the Mamas of the world say AMEN. One of the most fun things to do with kids while you’re there is every night the crabs come out and you can see kids everywhere with their head lamps on and fish nets catching crabs everywhere.
PLACES TO GO:
RAW + JUICY This was our go to every morning. Amazing avocado toast + smoothies with the cutest beach playground attached. Hit it up in the morning before it gets to hot and you won’t be the only one, there are kids everywhere to play with!
CALIZA ALYS POOL: Our daily routine was breakfast / Pool and then beach. Alys pool is INCREDIBLE. Again so family friendly with kids everywhere. They have the best pool side lunch menu. (My favorite was the tuna bowl!) Followed up with the kids favorite POPSICLES!

After Hals nap we headed to the beach. When you stay in Alys you can call ahead and rent chairs and umbrellas that will be already set up when you arrive. Towels are included + food and drinks can be ordered on the beach so all I had to bring down was a bag of toys! I will take that any day over lugging a wagon full of stuff.
Alys Beach truly exceeded our expectations as a family-friendly destination. For our first family vacation as a family of 5, Alys Beach provided the perfect setting for quality time. If you're looking for a serene haven that caters to families, I highly recommend considering Alys Beach for your next vacation.
